"Cows run away

from the storm while the buffalo charges toward it - and gets through it quicker. Whenever I'm confronted with a tough challenge, I do not prolong the torment, I become the buffalo." ~ Wilma Mankiller, chief of the Cherokee Nation

just messy me, by Estela

I said yes to help with a photo project focusing on former athletes. I think the project's focus is to catch us during our "not best" moments. LOL It has been fun as it is forcing me to be vulnerable, and that is good for me. I also love that I can be me and not put on make-up for this photo project. These are a couple of the photographs not chosen.

“The first peace, which is the most important, is that which comes within the souls of people when they realize their relationship, their oneness with the universe and all its powers, and when they realize at the center of the universe dwells the Great Spirit, and that its center is really everywhere, it is within each of us.” - Black Elk
